Nighttime struggles for 1.5 year old and 3 year old

Hi! So, two weeks exactly my family made a big move. We traveled 21 hours away, and moved to a new home. Before the move, due to coronavirus and new schedules, we were already struggling with bedtime routines. On top of that, I’m 37 weeks pregnant and the kids can tell things are different and there is A LOT of change occurring around us. Most days my kids are stuck inside due to coronavirus, not knowing anyone here, my pregnancy, and that it’s 105 degrees outside. So they have a lot of energy....all the time. This is also the first time they have to share a bedroom which I’m trying to work with.It takes about 3 hours to get both kids asleep. Once asleep, they wake up about 4-5 times and my husband ends up needing to sleep in their room. They are then awake for the day before 6am. Naptime is just as much of a struggle. I wouldn’t mind dropping my 3 year olds nap, but she’s not sleeping during the night, so she’s impossible to deal with without a nap. They have NEVER slept like this before. They used to be 7am-7pm sleepers no matter what and they slept through the night.Another change is that my 1.5 year old refuses to sleep in her crib. Or be anywhere near it. So on top of everything, I feel forced to transition her to a big bed....which she cries and screams for every single night. But then continuously wakes up in throughout the night. But when we allow her to fall asleep in a big bed, and then move her to a crib after she falls asleep, she wakes up throughout the night in pure panic and screaming to get out of the crib.I’ve used melatonin before and that always helps. But this is a twice a day, every single day, challenge. Has anyone ever been through anything like this?! How do I help support and comfort them during all of these changes and create a new nighttime routine.I’ve tried white machine, singing songs, patting backs, reading books, gentle crying it out, cuddling with them in bed.....and nothing helps. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2E54VgZ
