My mother tries to parent my kids.

After divorce, I had to move home with my kids into my parents house. I had other plans lined up but my mother canceled them behind my back so I was forced to move home and pay rent to her instead. She has taken over every aspect of my kids lives, diet screen time, clothes, friends, literallyeverything. The worst yet is stealing all of my kids artwork which is therapy for them, cutting it up into tiny pieces and making collages. This makes my kids and I cry every time and we beg her not to but it's her house so all our worldly possessions belong to her. My kids keep looking for their artwork and I find it later laminated in her personal photo albums. She has no idea how to laminate things so she's ruined every picture she's done. I have spent a lot of money on boxes with locks to keep their artwork safe, but she still finds more or takes stuff when they aren't looking. I'm saving up money to move out but this whole coronavirus thing has made that impossible right now. My children's therapist says she's toxic and causing extreme mental and emotional damage to them. How do I protect my children from her and her tornado of destruction? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3eddyCJ
