Moms and boys’ hair: What’s the deal?

Looking for a little advice here. It’s also totally fine if your advice is thatI should just chalk it up as a mom thing and get over it.So my wife and I (I’m male) have two toddler boys. Since they were born, my wife has been obsessed with keeping their hair long. It’s uneven, unkempt, often has food stuck in it, and generally looks pretty terrible.Whenever I express that I would like to cut it short, she insists that it’s very important to her. When I explain it’s important to me as well, she writes it off as a normal mom/son thing. Every time I bring this up, she promises to cut it “soon”; this has been the same cycle for over a year. This is something that has become increasingly frustrating to me, and I don’t know what next steps to take. It seems like other adult women in her family agree with her that she has sole domaine over our children’s hair, so she seems confident that she’s in the right. For reference sake, she is generally very fair with parenting decisions: This is a sharp departure in equity.Any advice? Should I just suck it up? We have talked/argued about this an absurd number of times, and the boys are just barely 2. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3gpmDKo
