Kinda potty training but not really

My 3yo (about 24 months developmentally) has been on and off perceptive to potty training. We try to encourage without forcing it. Before you run to the comments to give your tips, we've tried everything. Velcro reward chart, peeing in the tub, car shaped potty, seat over the big potty, 1 skittle for sitting on the potty and 1 for actually peeing, no bottoms for days. Nothing works. He is not interested in fully potty training right now. So that's not the point of this post. The last few days, he's started going in the bathroom to poop. He usually just hides in a corner in his room but the last couple days, he'll go in the bathroom, turn the light on, crack the door, and poop. (In his diaper ofc). I've tried to put him on the potty when he goes in but again... no luck. I'm curious if anyone thinks maybe he'll eventually potty train himself. He knows WHAT to do, he just has no interest in doing it. It seems like progress in the right direction but at this pace, he'll be well over 4 before he is even moderately potty trained. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/33QlbfQ
