My partner had major surgery in December and was out of commission for a couple months in total. I couldn’t rely on friends or family for help due to COVID, so I was on my own with our kid, who just turned three. Out of desperation and exhaustion, I got into a bad habit of bribing her with tv or candy to do things throughout the day. Don’t feel like brushing your teeth? Watch this YouTube video while I do it. Not up for putting on your shoes? I’ll give you a cookie if you do!I think it’s totally fine once in awhile, but it’s definitely beyond that for us. It doesn’t feel healthy and sustainable. Any tips on how I can move away from these habits? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3ctSBG8
