I'm enrolling my niece to homeschooling but I don't know anything about it

(i'm just copy pasting my post from another subreddit since someone redirected me to this one)The title is pretty self explanatory. I (F19) live by myself with my niece (F12) who's in 5th grade, but we are supported financially by my aunt (F43). I love my niece to death, like my own child at this point since her mom is overseas most of the time due to work. She's been having trouble with school because of depression and anxiety, such as not being able to submit her works in time or not submit them at all due to lack of motivation. She also doesn't join classes because of how nervous she gets at the thought of it. I tried helping her set a schedule but she hasn't followed it either. The school's principal called me the other day saying it's best if she is homeschooled instead of regular online school. They told me they'll refund half of the money then told her we'll think about it and called her mom shortly after. My aunt sent money as usual, and told me to 'figure it out' because she's busy. Now online schooling and homeschooling are pretty much the same, except the student has a hold of their time and has no schedule. What I'm worried about is will she be able to graduate normally? And I have no idea when the hell this pandemic will be over but will she still be to graduate highschool and whatnot? How exactly is homeschooling different than online schooling. Is it worse? I'm really panicking because I'm worried colleges won't accept her because she has a history of being 'homeschooled'.Note: I have no problem with helping her and taking care of her, what I'm worried about is her future and how she will handle homeschooling via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3meORgw
