Confused and worried

I found out that my ex-spouse/co-parent has been lying about school for two months...He’s unemployed and I working during this time. He asked to managed online studies and has insisted all was well each week and I have offered help with schooling which he has denied me do for no reason at all this whole time. I was never ever, once, told there was a back log of homework. I just found out by logging into it myself and totally freaked out. I have taken over, communicated with the teacher and have a positive plan to finish the work before school is out. His claim is that homework was an issue due to tech issues and has no idea how I got the homework to work magically. Again, he never ever told me homework has built up to nearly 100 assignments.I feel a mixture of shock and confusion by how such a thing would be a secreted and kept from me despite my constant efforts to help in anyway only to have been lied to and embarrassed in front of school, especially because our child could have failed school this year because of this. The teacher assured me making up the work is fine and my child would complete the grade on time by getting the homework done. Someone suggested that maybe he is depressed.How do I move on from this experience? Can anyone relate?
