My Grandfather is passing away soon, my daughter is a very emotional kiddo at 5. High energy, gets emotionally attached to everything (like me, who knew?).I'm trying to figure out how to tell her that her Great Grandpa is going to be passing soon. Should I wait until the time comes? Should I tell her that he is dying and these are our last moments with him?I can think of 100 different ways to explain this to her, but I cannot decide as to which would be the best course of action. My gut says to explain to her that he is sick, he needs our love, he needs to be reminded of his family that loves him, and that one day soon, we won't have that opportunity any longer because he will be gone. I'll explain to her that we will miss him, and we will have to keep the memory of him in our hearts, and that this is just a natural part of life.If anyone has gone through this, assuming a lot of you have, I'd love to hear your stories. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/36mEEES
