Disappointment

My baby boy (my first and the first grandbaby) was born in May and my family has only seen him on time due to Covid.The pediatrician gave the all clear for family to meet him. My father too the first chance he had to come see my son.My mother has a sore throat (it's confirmed as allergies) and was supposed to come pick us up sunday to spend the day with us but she found out her husband (my step dad) already made plans for them to go float the river.She has been bitching this entire time about not meeting him, he hasn't "bonded" with everyone, blah blah blah.Now she's known since the 9th she can finally meet him and she's changed plans to go float the river instead of meeting her grandbaby.Maybe I'm just being sensitive but even my husband pointed out that she must not want to meet him that badly if she's suddenly more interested in floating than meeting my son.Edit: she isn't coming over today because her husband and my brother (16yo) don't want to come.
