My stepson is 5 years old often hurts his sisters (7 and 9). He often will apologizes emotionlessly to avoid trouble or he will start defending himself. This, I can understand, he's little and frustrated easily. I think it will pass (well, I hope).Today, while on the phone with his mom, he was told one of their hamsters died (they got two hamsters less than two months ago).His reaction was laughing and he was not interested in doing a drawing for the little hamster. Didn't seem to feel sad or anything about his pet passing away. His dad is worried and a bit sad to see that.I've been wanting a pet for a while but of course we're gonna wait now to make sure he'd be able to be more caring with them.Any idea how to sensibilise a young child to feel more empathy towards others and animals? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2E1zfZF
