My daughter is 11 months old and will be turning 1 at the end of the month. When the pandemic hit, we stopped giving her bottles since I was home to nurse her. She never had a problem with taking bottles ever since she was born—she used to have them from time to time when we went out and also when she was at the babysitter’s.A couple months into the pandemic she started refusing bottles completely. I guess she was used to getting nursed all the time? We thought maybe this was okay since perhaps we could start transitioning her to a sippy cup. 8 sippy cups later... we’re finding she hates these too.The only thing we’ve managed to get her to drink her milk out of (besides me) is an open cup. It’s messy and gets everywhere and is really just a pain. And she’s fickle with it too... sometimes she wants to drink sometimes she doesn’t.I would really like to start weaning her from breastfeeding soon, but don’t know how since I feel like she barely drinks! I try to mix extra milk in her cereal and add water to her food just to make sure she’s hydrated. She seems to be ok... normal amount of wet diapers... but I would like to get her off the breast. Any advice? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2DN7LHx
