Helping 5-yo learn English

My daughter is about to start kindergarten this fall remotely, but she has a lot of difficulty with English. My wife and I are both Korean. I came to the US very young, and have native English ability, but my wife came in her mid-thirties and her English is not nearly as good. She is the one who has spent the bulk of time with daughter because I work full time, and during those times she speaks to her in Korean. I was doing the same for awhile, but switched over to using English most of the time because I wanted my daughter to have more exposure to it.Daughter was in an English-language preschool for over a year, but for whatever reason, never really developed confidence in it. And we never really were able to do much in the way of play dates, etc, with other English speaking kids, due to busy schedules and also the fact many of our family friends are Korean as well.I’ve been making it a point to use only English to talk to my kid, watch English TV together, read English books, etc. it seems to be helping a bit, but with school now looming, I’m getting really worried. We were going to enroll the kiddo in ESOL but with the present pandemic situation that’s kind of tough. So anybody have any tips? I’ve asked my wife several times to try to use English with kiddo but she does not seem to do it. And because I work full time, I don’t have as much time to interact.Thank you. Any advice would be welcome. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3keganI
