So, I did shed 10 lbs before this pandemic and I know how to lose weight under normal circumstances...but now I am having a really hard time staying as active as I need to be.See, before the pandemic, I got periodic breaks from all sorts of activities like dance, gymnastics, etc and I could go do highly active things with my toddler which helped a lot.Now everything is closed down and I have to use whatever break I have to basically catch up with housework (which the load has increased since we are home all the time) or do schoolwork. And, I have replaced the highly active activities with crafts, science, writing/coloring/ etc... She doesn't care for walks/runs unless it is out in nature and...the misquitos around here have West Nile, so that is out.I did buy a Wii to dance to, but I limit that to about 4 songs a day as I don't want to rely on that. Books and puzzles are great...but they aren't active activities. I've tried toddler exercises as well and she just isn't into them. Bike rides are also on or off for her and right now it is off unless she is riding her bike...in which case I just help her and don't burn a lot of calories.I am so grateful that she has been just wonderful during this whole thing, but I am really struggling to lose weight. Does anyone have any great at home activities other than the ones already mentioned that I could try? I am not looking for dramatic weight loss - just 10 lbs before the end of the year (my goal is to lose 10 lbs a year). My diet is one that is overall healthy, but I have to burn about 300-400 (about a meal for me) calories a day on top of my normal calorie burn to lose weight. I don't want to cut out a meal as I am more or less just teaching myself how to have a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and relationship with food so I can keep it off (like I have been doung)...but it is just hard to squeeze in a 300-400 exercise session with a toddler at home. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2DQhexg
