I don't know how to deal with this.

So here is some back story that has lead up to what happen today. So 4 and a half years ago I broke up with my baby daddy. He use to take our son on the weekend and sometimes for a week when he was with his ex she had a kid that was a year older then my son. Well about 2 years ago he moved out of state. Ever since then he doesn't even really call or video chat our son. Sometimes its a week between calls and some times its 3 months between calls. I try and make sure my son knows that me his step dad and all the family around him love and care for him. I have had his uncle staying with us for a month and a half now since I had surgery and just needed help. Well while I was out of the room he grab a photo that had been taken at school folded it in half and ask his uncle if he can send it to his dad so he wont forget about him. It brake my heart that my 6 year old little boy has that worries in his head and I feel helpless to it. I have spoken to his dad be for about how its unfair to his kid that he does this to him. It seems to have made no difference since the last time he call was about a month ago.
