Issues with baby latching

So my baby is about a week old. We only recently got to start breast feeding as he was in NICU for the first 5 days. I was only able to visit him twice during that time as I was having issues of my own, but when I was able to visit I breast fed him and he latched with surprisingly no issues.Since bringing him home we’ve been exclusively breast feeding. At first it was great, but now we’re having tons of issues with having him latching on. He’s clearly hungry, but every time he latches he spits it right back out and starts screaming and flailing (I’m assuming due to the frustration). I’m only able to get him to latch for maybe part of a feed or two during the day now, if I’m lucky. This came out of nowhere as yesterday and the day before he latched perfectly for every feed and we didn’t need to supplement with bottles at all.He did get circumcised yesterday evening, and I noticed that this issue started afterwards. Could this be due to his discomfort and just not wanting to work for the milk?? Has anyone had this happen to them as well? I know I need to be patient, but I feel extremely helpless and really discouraged. I can’t really do much as I’m still recovering from my c section and I had two more procedures done on Tuesday, and now I can’t even feed my baby. I’ve tried tons of different moves and he won’t latch with any of them. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3fT7xeP
