My neighbor came over to "borrow a hammer." 🙄

My five year old was here for her visit and my three year old struggles with sharing her toys, sharing 5yos toys, and sharing me. 3yo shows her displeasure by constant crying and demands to be held.At one point we were having a trampoline contest where they jumped off the chair onto the trampoline and I'd rate them with an arbitrary number. I also had to be the referee so each got a fair turn and telling one or the other to get off the chair, get off the trampoline. After her turn, 5yo jumped from the trampoline into my arms and i proceeded to give her a big hug and lots of kisses. We ended up on the floor with me kissing all over her face and her squealing loudly. Then 5yo got up and charged me, i landed on my back with a shout, then the both of them pig piled on me. Lots of yelling. But it was all in good fun.I extract myself from them and not a moment later, i hear a knock at the door. Its my next door neighbor who i share a wall with. When i opened the door i screamed in her face because she startled me.. for some reason visitors always startle me.. cue the girls come running in and my neighbor, who is drunk, asking me for a hammer. As i walked away she was asking the girls how they are doing and eyeballing the mess that is my living room (i dumped out a toy box and have been sorting toys to donate but stopped when 5yo came home).It was just so transparent. She never comes to my house. Maybe that's what startled me... i wasnt expecting her.Not sure if i should be glad she heard yelling and came to check things out, or if she was just being drunk and nosy. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Db3vS3
