So our son is around 17.5 Months old, he was born about 5-6 weeks premature at 4.2 lb's. (They actually said based on how we was acting he was honestly probably 1-2 weeks MORE pre-mature).Anyways at his age right now he walks fine, and shows no signs of autism or anything (Very cuddly/looks straight at you/eye contact/etc..)However his vocabulary isn't great. He can say Daddy/Mom (or "Mum"), "This/That" (when pointing to something. He's also repeated "Shit" twice (oops lol). He talks or tries to talk some but not a TON.Anyways this has me worried, since apparently by 18 months they should know way more words and be able to identify stuff (like body parts, pointing to hands/feet/etc..). He doesn't really wave (Well rarely he does) and doesn't no hi or bye. He knows the word "no" and will listen (usually) but I just feel his speaking is behind.Am I freaking out over nothing? We try to read to him but he honestly doesn't really seem to care? (He's more interested in opening and closing the book and laughing) and I try to repeat single words for objects like "Ball" or "Food" etc...Im probably over-reacting, he does everything else fine (if not being a little late). Pediatrician didn't have any concerns on his 15 month checkup.....so I dunno. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2XQjcoN
