Our daughter recently started watching pancake art on her kids YouTube app (with her headphones on). I check in on her and it looks innocent enough. Pancakes, ya know.Today she was watching it and her headphones died and my husband heard the music that goes along with the innocent seeming video and then brought it to me.The pancake art itself can be a bit spooky with certain characters, but the channel plays ambient HORROR like music while they do this art. And it wasn’t just one video, I went through and checked.No frickin wonder my child who was sleeping by herself with no issue all the sudden needed someone to sleep with her. Tears streaming down her face that she is scared to sleep alone. All of this started when she started with the pancake art videos.I’m rambling here and I am on mobile, so sorry for formatting.The channel is TigerTomato and apparently YouTube kids thinks it’s appropriate for a preschooler.The channel has been blocked in our house and I’m trying to not kick myself for not being more aware of what she’s watching.Hopefully the bedtime rituals go back to normal.link to YT page via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/36m11vs
