Hello,I have a 3 year old and I am at a loss for how to curtail some of her behaviors. There are a few reoccurring ones that have been bothering me. If anyone could help I would be so grateful For your thoughts on how to deal with these.1) she sticks or tongue out, blows raspberries or says “nah nah” or other similar things sometimes when disciplined. What do I do then? I feel like if I gave her a time out for every time she would be in time out all day but verbal reprimands seem useless to stop the behavior2) when she doesn’t want to say hi to someone, which is pretty much anytime someone outside of the family says hi. Even grandparents. She will turn her head away and make a rude “humpf” sound . If I say “can you say hello please?” She will say “no I’m not going to!”3) she is constantly not listening. I tell her to do something and she ignores it. I use 1-2-3 magic but many times she doesn’t care and winds up in time out or losing a tv show. Is there an alternative for this?4) she will not play by herself and if I am busy doing something she often starts to misbehave for attention even if I’ve been with her basically all day (which is always the case). I can’t , for example, have her color or play with play doh while I cook because she will either refuse or do it momentarily and then be up and into mischief or pestering me.5) she argues recently such as after I tell her “no” she will now say “but mom I was just doing xyz”6) she has some behaviors that she repeats despite knowing they will get her in flexible- then she comes to tell me she did them. Example- she comes into the bathroom when I’m using it and turns out the light on me so I can’t see.then she says, “mom I turned off the light” or she will find the computer plugged in and unplug it when my back is turned for a second and then plug It back in and come to tell me she touched the plug because she knows I have told her not to play with to those for safety(almost all the sockets have child protectors on them just not the ones in use) via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/39Fj8OS
