Hello all! My one and only daughter is starting school for the first time next week so I don’t have any experience with a lot of this stuff. I just received the school newsletter and it talks about joint the PTA. It sounds like something I might be interested in , as I want to participate as much as I can and be as involved as I can in her school but I admittedly don’t really know what it consists of. There’s a link to a website to purchase “a silver membership- one member and one entry to the classroom membership drive contest” - “a gold membership- 2 members and 2 enteries” and it keeps moving up. The prices are very low but it confused about what I’m buying? Would each member be a parent? And is this just to sit into the meetings? I don’t hey how it works and there seems to be no further information or clarification provided. How often are meetings on average and what would be expected of me? Would I have to attend every meeting? They also say you can run for the available positions o secretary and member at large. What are these? I’m completely clueless, thank you so much for any information or insight you can give ! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2VVA8vW
