Should you, and if so how do you, teach humility?

My son (6) is fab. He's smart and funny and compassionate, and I couldn't be prouder of him, something we tell him very often. He's also a massive brag. If he's good at something, you'll.know it. Today he told me he's really good at turning the house keys. He said the other day he didn't want to go to drama classes because he "already knows how to act and sing". He's six so it's still kind of cute, and I don't, at the moment, really discourage him from bragging, mostly because I have no idea how to approach it! I don't want to make him insecure, I don't want to make him feel like he can't celebrate his achievements, but I also know that if I don't start teach him about humility he could start down a path of douchbaggary that I'd like to at least try and avoid for when he's older. But it's just got me thinking about how to approach it, and even if it's worth it - have any of you broached this topic with your kids? How did you do it? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3kC5WA8
