Some questions for Bilingual families

First: Please, don’t diagnose my daughter with anything by this post.My daughter is 2,5 years old. She is growing up with Norwegian (hubby’s mother tongue), Spanish (my mother tongue, but I so speak Norwegian fluently without a foreign accent) and to some degree English as well.1) How long did it take your kids to start separating the languages?2) She isn’t speaking in sentences yet, but she does know a lot of words in Norwegian and Spanish, and she mixes a lot when communicating. Is there any kind of activities that can help her with her progress besides reading books and normal talking?3) I find it really hard to be consequent in speaking Spanish to her. I know nobody has any business about what I talk to her about in public, but I feel so uncomfortable because I feel that people stare and “judge” me, so I prefer to speak in Norwegian in public. How do you cope with it?4) Do you have any word of advice for a mom who is a little stressed and nervous about having a bilingual kid? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/36DmoIm
