My babe is 6 months old and waking up 3-8 (probably 5 on average) times per night. This is obviously hard but after doing some reading I’m even more frustrated because it seems like most babies sleep through the night or only wake once for a feed. We’ve been cosleeping since day 1, I’m breastfeeding so every time he started crying I’d just plug him in for 5 minutes and we’d go back to sleep. He currently eats 2-3 meals a day already and is breastfeeding just as much as before so he should be getting what he needs in the day. Instead of rocking him to sleep for the past 3 weeks I’ve just laid in bed with him until he falls asleep, sometimes he cries but not for long. I’ve gotten a crib so for the last week I’ve been trying to put him down for a nap and for bed when I know he’s tired. I’ll stick around and put a hand on his chest until he goes to sleep and this doesn’t take too long but it’s definitely harder for him and he cries for longer. It’s honestly breaking my heart to just let him cry in his crib even if I’m right there. He takes 3 naps during the day usually 30-45-30ish min so not very long. He goes to bed around 8-9 and gets up around 8-9 everyday.Am I doing the right thing by slowly transitioning like this? How do I know he’s not starving?? I don’t think letting him cry would work cause he’d go forever. I just want to build better habits and not have him wake up so many times… I’m not expecting him to sleep through the night any time soon but fewer wake ups would put me in a much better place.Any advice or experience is appreciated! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3xU7jgK
