Newborn photos - did times change so much?

I'm a first time mom, 34, been married to my husband (35) for 4 years and our little one is 3 weeks old.My sister was over to our house today to see the baby and I was showing her some pictures, among them was those of her first bath. My sister works for a local police department as a detective and she said I should probably save those bath pictures on a memory card or USB drive and remove them from my phone just in case I ever lose my phone or someone it gets compromised so nobody can steal those pictures (being first bath pictures there are some showing everything).It boggles my mind, did times change this much?
