Play date update!

I hope this post is allowed, I just wanted to update on my play date situation from yesterday. I got bottled water, juice, goldfish crackers, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles. Super casual. As an important aside, I’ve got crippling anxiety and depression. I very rarely go out and never initiate events, but I wanted my kid to have a good kindergarten experience, so I thought I’d try for his sake. Based on the response I received I was expecting maybe 5-6 families to come. There had to have been about 100 people who showed up today. My son met and played with a couple kids who will be in his class and just as importantly, all the other kids did too. There will be familiar faces on the first day of school and my kid is stoked about kindergarten now! I’m thrilled that we chose this school- it’s a long drive but I think the parents are really community focused and involved, and that’s definitely the environment I want my son to go to school in. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3kftI35
