A new 9 to 5 nanny started for my 3 month old daughter yesterday. and I've already seen a few things I see as red flags. I wanted to know if I'm being too harsh or if my concerns are legitimate. She left a bunch of poop in her vagina after a diaper change. The outside was clean, but there was a sizeable amount of poop in the vaginal lips. The pediatrician said I need to clean all of the poop away or it could become a painful UTI infection. She nodded off twice while feeding my daughter the bottle while sitting on the couch with her. I made a loud noise to see if she was just resting her eyes, but she jumped both times and had a delayed reaction...so while she wasn't fully asleep, she was more than just resting her eyesToday, day 2, she let me know an hour before she's supposed to come that she's coming late today and doesn't know what time. Her college age son came today because his cat died so he wanted to come home to see her. I have empathy for her, but she gets paid whether or not she works full hours and I need the help while I work and I need someone who is reliable. She came well recommended and had her own daycare for over 20 years, which is why we went with her but so far I'm already not impressed. I was going to send my daughter to a daycare center but someone recommended this lady so I went with her instead and am now questioning my choice. The only good thing is that it's convenient that she comes to my house (I work remote).Am I being too harsh and is this normal, or are these red flags? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3BD03HK
