Evidence for/against sleep training for a 10 month old

My partner and I are currently having some disagreement about how to handle night times with our 10 months old. He wakes regularly through the night and often ends up in bed with us / we end up in different beds.We haven't done any sleep training, instead using breastfeeding to help him get back to sleep. My partner believes this is kindest and that sleep training that means leaving the baby to cry for even a few minutes for a few nights is cruel and will cause him to have attachment disorders. I've accepted her taking the lead on night time for the most part, but we do occasionally clash on this approach as I believe it is affecting us both negatively due to broken sleep. Not only that, I think it affects our ability to be good parents in the daytime and she is showing signs of PND/Anxiety.We've both obviously done our research and read endless blogs. But it's always somewhat up to interpretation.I'm wondering if there's any slam-dunk studies in EITHER direction as that might help us find a common ground and agree on an approach.I know this is a controversial topic but it's seriously affecting our relationship now and I just need some help... Thanks! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3k6utfB
