So my daughter (16 months) has always been a great sleeper. We never had to do any sleep training, she just slept on schedule.Suddenly, the past month she is not sleeping. She is waking 2/3x per night. I caved and made the mistake of bringing her into my bed to finish the night several times just out of pure exhaustion. Now she expects it. If I pick her up and move toward the rocking chair she throws a tantrum because I’m not headed to my room. She’s a nightmare to cosleep with, so that’s not a great option.I have never let her “cry it out” once in her life until tonight. And I feel like such a failure after doing so—but, I’m exhausted. I went into her room, laid her back down, patted her back, and then sat by the crib until she cried herself out. I just kept patting her and soothing her, but never picked her up. She went to Sleep eventually. But I feel so awful about it! She’s a great kid who hardly ever whines or cries and I just don’t want her to feel abandoned.Any advice on how to get her through this rough patch? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2ZJdcBO
