Why everybody expects we’ll have another kid?

I know, it’s our personal decision, I don’t care what people think or do but I’m puzzled how literally everybody thinks we’ll have another kid ASAP (our son is 18 months). I’ve been trough some rough times (PPD and anxiety) so I don’t think I’ll ever want to risk that feelings again with another kid - even I really love our son and I’m grateful he’s part of our family. I’m not completely ruling out the option but I don’t see it as real in the next five years.Maybe it’s cultural - in my country you either have at least two kids or none. Maybe I’m just really good at pissing up people with unpopular opinions.I upset one of my friends (also mother) that we don’t plan another kid in the near future but rather get a dog (even though I emphasized we really love our son).But everybody keeps asking, even the same people again and again (“did you change your mind?”).It is really that bad to want a dog (or other pet) rather than another kid? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3wkdNpT
