My recently turned three year old is a caring, sweet kid who loves to play. My SIL has a six year old daughter who doesn’t really seem to enjoy spending time with my daughter. Which is fine - I’m not going to hold that against her. My daughter though, LOVES the six year old and always wants to play with her. The six year old often redirects and walks away, and my daughter is confused and follows. The six year old loves our one year old son, so I feel like she just prefers babies, but my daughter doesn’t understand it.Recently we had a family dinner and I tried to ask my daughter to give the six year old space, but it didn’t work. She just didn’t understand.Does anyone have any advice on how we can help her understand what is happening so she isn’t hurt by any future actions or rejections by ANY kid that doesn’t want to play/doesn’t seem to like her? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3EspQ7H
