A little background: My husband (39M) and I (38F) have been married for 10 years. Both of us permanently lost our jobs due to Covid-19 and have been actively looking for work since our state re-opened.My 20yr old step-daughter has had a couple setbacks in life through no fault of her own, and because of hard work was finally able to graduate high school a couple months ago.Immediately after graduating she got a job at a local restaurant that is not far from where she lives. She does not live with us and she does not yet have a vehicle or a driver's license.Current issue: My husband was offered a temporary (8 weeks) job with a company he worked for several years ago. He told me yesterday that he is not taking the job because he is currently responsible for getting his daughter to and from work. His daughter lives about 7mi away and every day it takes him approximately an hour to pick her up, drop her off and come back home. She works daytime hours and it would take her 30 mins to take a the city bus to work. My stepdaughter has never had to ride the bus and to my husband, it is completely out of the question.I am extremely upset and have actually considered separating over this. Am I overreacting? Is there another possible solution that I'm not seeing?Edit to add additional information: A few months prior to Covid-19, I told my stepdaughter that if she would work on getting her license, I would help her with getting a vehicle. She never did. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2DQIvjk
