We have a new emotional term, folks.

My son (6yo) struggles with his emotions. He has very big feelings and frequent outbursts. Yesterday, I was talking to him about wanting to try a new coping strategy, and he says, "ok, but Mom, what do I do when I feel peanutbuttery?"It turns out, feeling "peanutbuttery" or just "peanutbutter" means that his emotions feel thick and sticky and hard to explain like he's got a mouthful of peanutbutter.A year ago, he was constantly screaming and throwing tantrums. Now, he's asking for help while coining terms that are actually relatable. I'm so proud of how far he's come. ❤ via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Dof5sO
