Teen using my credit card?

My 18 year old is not the best money manager. She tends to spend every penny she gets on junk food and eating out. Then when she wants something else, like restaurant food, she asks me. I frequently say no, because I keep telling her she needs to learn to live within her means. She pays for her cell phone and and we pay for everything else. She lives at home and of course we have food in the fridge at all times. She has a credit card on our account that we gave her for gas and emergencies. She has a history of texting me to ask if she can get X at the store. If I don't answer right away, she will sometimes buy it anyway and then if I said no she'd say "I just bought it". At first I was pretty nice about it, I'd counsel her that this was in effect stealing someone else's money. But although she's gotten better she keeps doing it from time to time. The dollar amounts are small (today it was $2.50 for a drink at a gas station, she is broke). Each time she says "sorry". I think I should take away her credit card away as I feel so strongly that this is a form of stealing, no matter how small the dollar amount.Am I being too harsh? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2L5R2TA
