Hey guys.. so this pandemic has been miserable.. and my husband and I haven't gone on a date in over a year and are beyond burnt. My therapist said it's mandatory we go do something. I expressed that I'm anxious to give the keys to my house to my in laws..not because they're horrible people..but because they tend to do common sense shit I don't feel they should..I'm a bit uptight as I'm a very clean/tidy person.. I'm anxious.. etc. They're a big family and the boundaries thing isn't awesome BUT I'm start to reailze a lot is cultural. My daughter has allergies and they have multiple animals at their home so in order for us to go on a vacation we'd likely need to offer the keys to our allergy-free house (lol)..My counselor suggested to feel better.. get a nanny cam.. She also suggested this when I told her my husband was uptight about me hiring a mommy's helper (so I could work in the next room).. and she suggested us just doing a quick 2 day vacation for starters... to basically get out of my own way and do something for our mental health because this pandemic situation with a baby and small kids has been totally brutal.. We were beyond our max months ago..So.. I'm looking to get a nanny cam. My husband said something about us not having the wiring or something at our front door for the RING doorbell.. not sure what he meant.. but I'd like to get cameras to have inside the home that we can check from our phones.. that are super easy to put up.. or in a decoration or stuffed animal (lol).. ok it doesn't have to be a stuffed animal..I'm also not sure if this is possible, but if need be.. would be awesome if these nanny cams had a playback option. They'd also come in VERY useful for me with my 7 and 5 year old who CONSTANTLY fight in the other room and I can never pinpoint who did the first shitty thing...up until now I've been fibbing to them that I hav ea video that watches them.. now I'd like to install one lol.Any suggestions? I am mid-30s but you'd think I'm 70 for how out of touch I act with technology.. so any suggestions that are so easy to understand a 70 year old would be able to do it? lol. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3eat8BT
