Has anyone else noticed that society has progressed to caring about parenting?

I can’t name a single culture without the reputation for strict dare I say abusive parents. I think about when the generation of our grandparents was growing up they had big families and parenting was just about survival, there was no social services or government regulations to protect children or guidelines for gentle parenting or thoughts about how it will affect their children as adults. Parents wanted their kids to be fed and bathed and if they got annoying they would beat them. The more I learn about proper parenting the more I realise we’ve come a long way recently. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3CKEjvE
