Not thrilled to be a dad.

So my wife is 15 weeks pregnant and I'm not happy that we are having a kid. We are both 37yrs and this is kid #1. Daughter. I've never wanted kids and still don't. Saw a post here from last year with someone feeling similar and wanted to share that he's not alone. I feel having kids is nothing more than a societal push to be "normal" when in all honesty yall push the suffering on others by lying and saying it's so much joy and emotional return. Bullshit. The financial burden is devastating. The mental physical and emotional drain on one's self is sadistic. All for what? Some lie of legacy. Kids are a daily reminder of your own mortality. I am not excited or thrilled to be a dad, but if I want my marriage to last I need to fake it till I die. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3CKww0N
