Our 12 month old has frequent meltdowns periodically throughout the day. She slaps herself, pulls her own hair and will arch her back and kick when upset. I can see that she is frustrated and appears to be frustrated the most when she doesn’t get something she wants or she is told no. We have tried baby sign language to ease the frustration with lack of communication (she signs milk, more, again and all done) but these “tantrums” are still so frequent and frankly, unnerving. I try to tell her to be gentle to herself and model gentle hands but I just don’t know if I should be trying something else. The Dr doesn’t seem to be concerned. With my oldest we didn’t encounter this issue so I’m not sure what to do, if anything. Any advice is appreciated, even if it’s just commiseration knowing we aren’t alone. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3InFu6Y
