Usually when the parents speak a second language at home with their child it’s easy for the child to become bilingual. My question is for the families who only has one parent that speaks a second language. How successful are you at teaching your child the second language and if you can share some of your tricks and best practices.I’ve known of a few mothers that speak a second language and by only speaking that language with their children it has helped their children learn. However, my concern is that I will be going back to work soon and I work a lot so my husband will be our child’s main caregiver until the child starts school. Neither my husband nor the school will speak the second language so will that still be effective? Just evening time with me will be enough interaction for the child to pick up the second language? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/33WvHmF
