5.5years: finally slept through night in her own bed for first time

Yes. You read that right. For the first time in 5 and a half years my daughter slept through the night - in her own bed. While my husband and I slept in our bed. Alone. In peace. Not on her floor. :)Prior to that we had years of attempted sleep training, co-sleeping, reward charts, sleeping on floor in her room etc etcWe had tried everything. We had tried 3 very expensive “sleep trainers” who gave us our money back as our daughter “broke them and was untrainable” (due to medical issues. Epilepsy. GERD)We managed for the last few years with co-sleeping. Until she physically got to big for our bed. I said no more at Xmas after the night I woke up with a bloody nose for her rolling over in her sleep. For the past few months we’ve been tag teaming sleeping on her floor.Last night she decided herself she was “a big girl”. Set an alarm (herself) m to be up for her school zoom call. And slept thought the whole night.Seriously. For the first time in 5.5 years. I guess they really do do things in their own time when they’re ready.Saying that - I woke up this morning terrified she was dead and ran in to check she was till alive. She’s 5 and a half!!! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3coG32L
