Nursery glider too small for toddler now. Should I get a bigger chair? Or something else?

So I have a two year old and a three month old. Every night, we read to our toddler before bed in a chair in his room. The chair is too small for us to comfortably sit now, so I’d like to get a chair and a half, but I’m wondering how long we would actually use it? Is there a more practical piece of furniture I should be considering? We tried a bed, but I constantly worried he would fall off. When we put it in the floor, he wouldn’t sit close enough to read and just played around the room the whole time, so I liked being able to sit him in the chair and safely contain him somewhat. I also want something that would be big enough for the baby to eventually join us on.Thoughts?
