Tough times right now..

Hello everybody, my wife and I found out we’re expecting on July 15th. We went to her first doctor’s visit on July 26th but they were unable to see anything in the ultrasound. We are extremely frustrated with this office because the Dr. simply told us “I don’t see anything” and just walked out of the room. We asked what was next and said she would suggest getting a vaginal ultrasound. We were worried so I called several imaging centers to see if anybody had a same day cancellation, for which we luckily found the following day, July 27th. We drove out an hour and a half and got all the internal imaging done. We confirmed they sent over the report to the doctor that same afternoon but we NEVER received a call back from the doctor’s office. We tried calling them twice and claimed they never received the report. We decided to get the report and get a second opinion, for which this doctor said everything looked okay but still to get a follow up ultrasound in two to three weeks. By the way, the ultrasound report at that point showed my wife had 5 weeks and 4 days. Well, today we went back to the original office to hopefully hear good news and and here’s exactly what happened…When we arrive to the office, wife and I get roomed. I kid you not but we hear the doctor telling who we assume was a person she was training right outside our room door, “With this patient we will let them know of two options, or possibilities of what may be occurring. Either it’s still too early in the pregnancy or to begin considering that she might be having a mis carriage soon.” How professional is this???So in comes the doctor, and tells us exactly this but what really got me upset is the fact that she says “we can try to do another ultrasound at week 7 (which we already were).At that point I knew they NEVER bothered to even look at the report in fine detail for them to already know that this was week 7. When I called her out on it, she switched the whole story around saying that she meant to say 9 weeks.She was heavily trying to convince us that something is wrong. She didn’t even bother to TRY and do an external ultrasound. She suggested another vaginal ultrasound. They referred us to an imaging center but didn’t have anything available till September. At this point my wife and I both broke down in the car..I then decided to take my wife to the ER because we felt we wanted to know for sure what was going on. Even the ER nurses couldn’t believe how our doctor was making these assumptions so cold heartedly. Specially because my wife hasn’t had any spotting or cramps. Nothing that indicates a mis carriage.They were able to perform the vaginal ultrasound at the ER and they also did blood work to see her HCG levels. Everything indicates that she still has 5 weeks and 5 days but no heartbeat. They told us maybe she’s probably still to early or it might be a possible mis carriage but they don’t know for sure. Honestly we really are expecting that the baby simply didn’t form. We have to go back in 3 days because they want to see if her HCG levels are either going up or down to give us the final definitive answer…Just to any parents who are expecting;Always value your pregnancy, and take care of yourself. I’ve seen women who still drink, smoke yet the baby is always fine. And it’s just like…. How?
